Week 13

Let’s see, what’s new this week? Baby Yager can now make a fist and even suck his or her thumb! His or her eyelids are now fused shut to protect their eyes as they develop. His or her bones and skull are solidifying and soon itsy-bitsy ribs may appear. The baby's intestines are finally right where they should be—in his or her belly instead of poking out into the umbilical cord. Baby Yager's tooth sockets are all loaded and ready to pop out baby teeth six or seven months after baby is born. His or her vocal cords and larynx are completed now. Baby Yager weighs about 20 grams and is nearly 3 inches long. That’s it as far as development for week 13.

On another note, Mark thought he was cute/funny this week by suggesting we name baby Yager (if a boy) Dave Matthews Yager……riiiiighhhhht, cause that’s going to happen. I can promise with all the Dave playing in the car he or she will be familiar with all the songs.

2 ½ weeks until we get to see our little baby Yager again! I’m praying the time keeps on flying.
