Week 20!!

Thank Goodness!! We're halfway there!! Baby Yager is about 6 1/2 to 7 inches long and around 9 ounces. Baby Yager was spoiled over Christmas, and will more than likely be spoiled again tomorrow at his shower~! He now owns his first BILLS onsie and also owns a BILLS build a bear~! Mark definitely thought that that was pretty cool!
Well Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the 3 of us! :) more to come in week 21!

19 weeks! Yay!

He's Perfect! No abnormalties spotted! Thank God!! He currently weights 8 ounces! Our ultrasound lasted nearly an hour and we saw each and every part of our tiny little guy (parts of the brain, the kidneys, his facial features, hands, fingers, legs, toes etc.) He is currently Breech(I would want to be facing upward if i were him too, how fun would it be to be on your head all day long?!). He's starting to fatten up and his pictures are looking a little less scary. It was amazing seeing him kick his feet, wave his hands, and move all around. Unfortunately the next time we will see him will be at our 28 week appt(BOO). Of course i'm sure the time will fly.
Other good news, my doct. said that she allows anyone to induce starting one week before their due date. So she said that if we choose to, we can pick any day after May 6th? We'll see. I wouldn't complain if he even arrived before than. Only time will tell.
Also, the baby bump has started! Belly is looking bigger each day!

Well that's all for week 19. I'll post pictures once i find my camera!

Merry Christmas to you all!!

18 weeks!!

Our son is now the size of a large pickle! He weighs about 7 ounces and is about 6 inches long (from head to rump). I have felt him tickle me a few times, but I'm still waiting to really feel those somersault's! Nothing too exciting to report as far as development this week. 7 days until we see our little one again! We're REALLY excited to finally get a side profile picture and of course just to see him do his wiggling~! Nothing excites us more!! :)
Mark's enjoying my new symptom-Snoring! I googled snoring during pregnancy and did find out it's an actual side effect- "Snoring and making weird noises is EXTREMELY common during pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones lead to swollen nasal passages which for many women leads to snorning." He better get used to it! He's got 22 weeks to go! hahahaa
More to come in week 19! Almost half way there!!

Our little guy sure will be handsome!!!

17 weeks!

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

He, He, He!! I can finally use He instead of he/she~! Baby Yager is growing away and at times I can feel the slightest smoosh of movement. Nothing clear enough for me to feel confident that it's him, but enough to imagine he's in there practicing his swimming skills (Watch out Michael Phelps~!). It seems there isn't all that much to report about the development this week, other than my readings state that baby Yager can most likely hear. So I should probably start singing in the shower(poor baby Yager, I really wouldn't do that!).
The bump has almost started! I can feel it, but it's difficult to see. It seems that i've just got a larger waist and it looks like I put on a few pounds. It's crazy to think that I'm carrying over a 5 inch baby boy inside me! Maternity pants are in the near future, but i'm hoping to make it to Christmas before the real 'switch over'.
Baby Yager will definitely need the room after the Yummy Holiday meals!! :)

That's all for now. More to come week 18!

Will he look like his dad?!?

If I'm lucky...my son will be as cute as my husband was!

4 months!! BABY Yager is a BOY!!!!

It's not a SHE, it's a HE!!!!!!!! HAHAH, most of you were wrong on the Guessing game! Those of you who guessed BOY, Congrats!!
We were at our appointment at 9am sharp. At 9:45 we still were sitting in the waiting room (AHHHH). We finally made it into the ultrasound room around 10ish. The Tech pointed out the eyes, legs, arms, fingers, etc...THEN....the little squirmer spread his legs out as wide as could be! Sure enough there IT was! We were ecstatic!!! The Tech showed us the profile and said, "looks just like daddy". The appt. was perfect, other than it would have been nice to just sit in the ultrasound room with that little moniter on my belly all day. It's amazing to see all the movement!! Mark said he's going to buy the baby a baby guitar and teach him how to play. Now it's off to a 1/2 day of work (how the heck am I going to work?!?!?!). I might just have to first swing by baby gap and pick out my 'sons' first BOY outfit!!
Ultrasound Pictures Coming soon!!

15 weeks

15 weeks!!It's finally starting to sound like I'm getting somewhere! What's new with the baby this week? The baby's head is now resting on his/her well-formed neck instead of his or her shoulders. The baby is growing eyebrows and eyelashes this week. The hair on the baby's head has also began to grow.
Although the baby's eyes are sealed shut, (s)he's now able to sense light. His/Her eyes and ears finally look like real baby features now. The baby now not only has started practicing sucking, but also can swallow and hiccup! The baby is 4 inches from the top of the head, to the butt. He or she is getting big!
Big week next week. I'm so excited to see how big the little one has gotten in the past 4 and 1/2 weeks. I'm excited to see the profile of baby yager and see him or her wiggle around. I'm hoping this will be my last email of having to include 'He/She' in all my blogs. It's been fun dreaming both ways. Will it be Blue or Pink? Markus is guessing PINK, I go back and forth. Today i'm guessing BLUE. Time will only tell!
A post will follow on Tuesday!
love you all!

14 weeks!

Do you think baby Yager is a boy or girl?
BOY
GIRL
Get CodeView Result

Baby Yager now has fingerprints! Believe it or not, he/she actually
created them himself/herself while swimming around in the amniotic fluid. As he/she moved his/her hands, the skin on the tips of his/her fingers formed unique ridges and folds. That's why no one on earth has the same fingerprints, not even identical twins! Cool, right? The baby's arms are now in proportion to his/her tiny body, but his/her legs are still on the short size in comparison.

The baby continues to gain new and impressive skills such as practicing and controlling voluntary muscle movement. Baby Yager now weighs about an ounce and is the length of a flip phone, or roughly 3.5 inches. She or he has tripled in size from this time 3 weeks ago.

As for me, I’m doing great! Luckily, I’m still fitting in all my pants. I dread buying my friend pair of maternity pants, although I realize that day is quickly approaching. Mark’s also doing well. He had his first dream about the baby this past weekend. He dreamt it was born and was only 3 inches long. Fortunately his dream didn’t come true! Another week down! Looking fwd. to week 15 and finally finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Love you little one, keep growing!!

Week 13

Let’s see, what’s new this week? Baby Yager can now make a fist and even suck his or her thumb! His or her eyelids are now fused shut to protect their eyes as they develop. His or her bones and skull are solidifying and soon itsy-bitsy ribs may appear. The baby's intestines are finally right where they should be—in his or her belly instead of poking out into the umbilical cord. Baby Yager's tooth sockets are all loaded and ready to pop out baby teeth six or seven months after baby is born. His or her vocal cords and larynx are completed now. Baby Yager weighs about 20 grams and is nearly 3 inches long. That’s it as far as development for week 13.

On another note, Mark thought he was cute/funny this week by suggesting we name baby Yager (if a boy) Dave Matthews Yager……riiiiighhhhht, cause that’s going to happen. I can promise with all the Dave playing in the car he or she will be familiar with all the songs.

2 ½ weeks until we get to see our little baby Yager again! I’m praying the time keeps on flying.

12 Weeks or 3 months!!

3 months!! It's been another good week. I definitely feel better!! This is what my weekly email reported is happening to our little one:

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his/her toes will curl, his/her eye muscles will clench, and his/her mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. Hisher intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his/her abdominal cavity about now, and his/her kidneys will begin excreting urine into his/her bladder.Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His/her face looks unquestionably human: His/her eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his/her head, and his/her ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lemon) and weighs half an ounce.

Another week closer to week 15...the week we find out the gender. As much as we've gone back and forth whether to find out the gender or not, Mark's excitement to find out has definitely made me excited!!

Belly Report-same pants, no bump (well, i think i see a small bump, mark says i'm seeing things)

May God continue to bless our already loved little one!

11 Week Ultrasound!!

Another week down! So I've had a wonderful week! I've really increased in energy and appetite :) My mornings are so much better and I finally am able to cook and clean my house (Mark finds this wonderful too).
Today I had another ultrasound! It was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen with my own two eyes. We saw the baby move a few times. The baby would make Mark and I laugh and my tummy would go up and down making it difficult to see the baby's next move. You could definitely making out the head, body, arms, legs and feet. I joked because it looked like the baby had a head of hair (obviously he or she didn't). We saw and heard the babies heart beating away. Today the baby's heart beat was 157!
My next appointment is scheduled for November 25th! My doct. said that she'll try to find out the sex of the baby on this date. I'm incredibly excited to see whether it's a BOY or a GIRL. I can think of a million reasons why I would LOVE to have a little baby boy, and a million other reasons why I would LOVE to have a little baby girl. Time will only tell.
Enjoy the pictures...hopefully you can make them out. One of the pictures shows the babies little leg bent at the knee...don't ask me why I think this is so cute!
Love you all!

10 Weeks!

10 weeks!! This week I finally made it to the grocery store...after 5 1/2 weeks of being sick with just the idea of being near so much food. So we're excited to have a full fridge and meals to cook! The past week has flown by! I had many difficult mornings, but the last 2 I have woke up surprisingly feeling ok!
Here is what I'm being told is happening during week 10:
Your sprout’s spurt continues this week -- finally, his/her weight is measurable! He's/She’s a mere 4 grams (equivalent to just 4 paperclips!) and is the size of a pretty little strawberry. This week, his/her heart is strong enough for the beat to show up on a Doppler reading done by your doctor. Don’t panic if his/her heart sounds like it’s about to explode -- in utero, babies have a heart rate of about 140 beats per minute, compared to our 80 beats. His/Her brain is also moving like Greased Lightning: every minute it develops a quarter of a million new neurons. He'll/She'll be outpacing Einstein in no time at all! As if all that weren't enough, your baby's heart is now pumping blood throughout his/her body; if you're lucky enough to catch it, you might see the blood flow on your next ultrasound, since his/her skin is parchment-thin right now. With all this work going on, it's hard to believe he's/she's still so tiny!
More to report next week...And more pictures! Can't wait to see the little one bouncing all around!
Love ya all!

9 Weeks and Ultrasound!

9 weeks, and the due date was decided to stay at May 14th! Yes! The baby was sleeping during the ultrasound..not much movement, however his/her heart was beating away at 167 beats per minute! They came across the area that is causing me to spot... the doctor explained it like a bruise and said that it's on the outside of the cervix and nothing to worry about at all. She said that she would prove it to me by letting me come back in two weeks and showing me that the spot (you could see it in the ultrasound) would be gone. I told her that I believed her, but she said that she felt bad that they weren't able to reschedule today's appointment so that "daddy" could come, so she said this would also give him a chance to see the little one. She joked that this next time hopefully he wouldn't be 7 shades of grey...haha. You've got to love Mark. I love overhearing him on the phone with his buddies saying, "hey guess what, you're going to be an uncle". He also thinks he's cute by putting his hand on my stomach (of course no evidence of a bump). We'll I'm feeling great..and just wanting the weeks to keep flying by! On another note, Taya called and she's having a baby BOY!! So exciting and it definitely makes everything a little more real! Can't wait to meet my neph

ew! Family get togethers are going to be SO much fun!!! Anyway, Enjoy the pictures!

Everything went as planned...

We got lucky...everything went as planned! Grandma Yager was super excited, and so was the Drost family. It was a wonderful weekend! Shayna looked breath taking in her wedding dress!! I'm so excited her day turned out as perfect as it did!

We have a Doctor appointment on Thursday. Mark will be in Vegas. He called me today to see if I could change it so that he could come along, but it looks like they fill their schedule up weeks in advance. I'm going to call tomorrow morning to see if there are any cancellations...wish us luck!

But as of right now, I'll be going to the doct.'s at 2pm on Thursday. I'm excited to see how big baby Yager has gotten! He or she has supposably more than doubled in size. Can't wait to get another ultrasound picture...especially because this time it'll look a little more like a baby! :)

More on Thursday...

8 weeks!!

8 Weeks!!! I'm getting excited for my next ultrasound when they give me an EXACT date... it's killing me, am I 7 weeks? 8 weeks? somewhere in between?
Well I've had a pretty tough week. I feel pretty sick every morning, and even as I write this blog, I feel like I could gag. Help me! No complaining....sickness means things are going well.
Tomorrow is our big day. We plan to first stop at my mother-in-laws and share with her the exciting news!! We order a onsie that says, "see you in may grandma yager"...it also has a picture of the ultrasound (even though baby yager is a blob...but as already mentioned, it is a beautiful blob). It hasn't come in the mail yet, so i'm crossing my fingers it'll be here today!
Then, it's off to get my nails done before my sister's rehearsal dinner. After we're home from the rehearsal, and home from dinner...We plan to give out our gifts. I'll give my sister who is getting married her scrapbook that i prepared, my dad his birthday gift, and my sister some baby-to-be gifts. The last gift I'll give her is a onsie that read "I'm the older cousin"...we'll see if she catches on...i know Janay will. She basically knows my cycle because I have talked with her about this so much. It's been most difficult not telling her..she's asked twice if I've had my period (she always hopes I say no, which i lied to her this time and said yes!).
On another note, it's crazy to think my little sister is getting married this weekend. Maybe it's because it seems like I got married yesterday, or maybe it's just because she's my little sister, and playing dolls with her doesn't seem that long ago. We also always used to pretend we were twins...time flies. I have good memories with my sisters and I hope my kids someday can say the same.

Well that's all for now. I guess there will be more on the 9th (9week).
xoxoxo

7 Weeks + an ultrasound!

Here's our little bubba! It's the prettiest blob I've ever seen! I wouldn't say everything was crystal clear, but we definitely saw the heart beating which was exciting!!! Mark explained it to be a " bright blinking light". They predicted the due date to be somewhere between May 14th and May 22nd. In two weeks they will set the due date and complete another ultrasound. I've been waking up sick the past few mornings, but other than that I've been doing well. I'm excited to reach next week to share the secret with our family. I hate keeping secrets and want to share the news of our little one!

6 weeks!

Yesterday marked 6 weeks and things seem to be going real well. I woke up one night this week and had to run to the toilet, but other than that I've felt totally fine. It's almost scaring me how 'normal' I feel. Some say the sickness doesn't really start until week 6...so I shouldn't be holding my breath too early. Yesterday also marked one week until my first doct. appt (well sort of my 4th). I'll feel a thousand times more reassured when I see my little ones heart beating!

I'll update you next week with some 7 week pictures!! :)

Looking good!

It's Monday and I just recieved a call from the nurse. My HCG level is now 651.8. So it not only doubled, but it increased 140 % more then where it was expected! The news has definitely relieved me, but I'll feel better next week when I see my little ones heart beating!

Keep praying for us!

5 weeks, good results!

Well my HCG levels were calculated and they have doubled from my last results-255.5! That means Little baby Yager is hanging in there! The nurse said they will do one more round of test tomorrow just to be 100% positive there is nothing to worry about. Unfortunately this means waiting until Monday to hear those results.

It's ok though, today lifted my confidence. I feel so excellent and want to scream from the mountain tops that I'm pregnant!!

More to come next week!

HCG 139.7

Well Wednesday's here and it's time for the second test! Yesterday the first test results were read and my HCG level was at 139.7. The Doctor reported it to be in the norm, but said that she really wouldn't be able to say one way or the other until the result of the second test comes in. I plan to go in today around 11:30, the results from todays test come in mid tomorrow afternoon.
I'm praying baby Yager is hanging in there!

Worried about little baby Yager!

Yesterday around noon I rushed myself to the hospital. I was spotting and so nervous I was losing the baby. The Doct. checked and confirmed that I was bleeding. They drew blood, and it's currently being tested. The Doct said she would call today to let us know the results. I will go back for more testing tomorrow. If both yesterdays and tomorrow's blood test come back looking ok, everything should be fine. If the numbers do not match up to where they should be, the possibilities of problems will rise.

Hang in there baby Yager! Keep us in your prayers!

Finally, a BFP! 4 wks, 3 days.

In April, Mark and I started trying for our little baby Yager. Over the past few months, I have had so many negative pregnancy test that when I saw a positive result, I thought for sure my eyes were playing tricks on me. Three pregnancy tests later, I realized baby Yager was in fact in there! What a crazy feeling! Little did we know that when my sister announced her pregnancy, baby Yager had already made himself/herself at home. Crazy how things work out. My prayer is that baby Yager and baby Schick can be as close as I am with my sister!
The only symptom of pregnancy that I have had thus far is a very sore back. I also feel a bit of cramping from time to time. I don't mind my symptoms at all, it reminds me she/he's in there!
Our first doctor appointment is scheduled for September 25th at 10:30am. Our plan is to tell the family the first weekend in October when we'll be home for my sister's wedding! Until then...it's a very hard secret to keep!

Hopefully you'll enjoy reading updates on baby Yager!
